HRH Prince Ebrahim Sanyang

Chairman of The Board

Prince Ebrahim Sanyang is a Development Economist, International Trade Expert and Investor with expertise in Cross-border Investments Risk, Strategy, Security and Settlements, Market Analyst and Economic Intelligence. As Africa focused investor and markets financier, Prince Ebrahim sits on the boards of several companies across Africa, Middle East and Europe.

He successfully led numerous financial structuring and strategic advisory deals in major international development projects financing, public enterprise reforms (divestitures, divestment and privatization); as well as public policy and management. He adept is a bilateral trade negotiator. Prince Ebrahim is the Board Chairman of Royal Africa Holdings, an Africa focused diversified investment holding company with over USD$8 Billion in equities and pipelines investment projects spanning Agriculture and Agribusiness, Aviation, Commodities, Financial Services, Retail, Sports, Infrastructure, Media, Transport and Logistics, Oil and Gas, Marine, Manufacturing, Real Estate and Retail etc.

Prince Ebrahim studied joint honours Bachelor’s in (BSc) Human Geography and (BA) Public Policy and Management, University of Bedfordshire; (MBA) Strategy and Procurement Management, University of Central England, Birmingham Business School; (MA) Diplomacy, University of East Anglia, and (MA) International Business, Nyenrode Business University (Netherlands). He is currently pursuing final year honours in (BSc) Aviation Management at Buckinghamshire New University, High Wickham, United Kingdom to be completed June 2022.

A precocious Environmentalist and a Philanthropist impacting communities and livelihoods not only in Gambia, but across the African continent, The Prince Ebrahim Future Africa Foundation (PEFAF); an Africa Focused Charitable Foundation whose aim is to uplift and instill on the African people and communities the spirit of Self-Sufficiency and Self-Reliance, by empowering communities with tools, skills and resources needed to excel and live a dignified and independent living.

Prince Ebrahim is the Chief Patron of The Royal Koring Council; a Traditional Koring Heritage, Cultural and Historic restoration Society. He is the Chairman of the Board of Pan African Youth Leadership Foundation, and the Eminent Chancellor of the Consular and Diplomatic Services University (Ghana); Life Patron of International Youth Diplomacy Conference (IYDC), a Pan-African youth diplomacy event annually held at University of Ghana, Legon.

Mr Ibrahim Turay

Board Member

Ibrahim Turay is a Partner in a Private Equity and Investment banking advisory firm in London. He is an experienced Corporate consulting and Investment banking professional- and has served as a Director and CFO for Smart Technologies, Renewable Energy, Telecoms, Pharma & Research companies. Formerly worked with world renown auditing and accountancy firm KPMG, Mr Turay studied at St Hugh’s College, University of Oxford. He has worked with several Investment Banks, including but not limited to Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, BNP Pariba, Nomura, BOA Merril Lynch, on several projects in Europe, Asia, and Africa- across the Energy, Technology, Telecoms, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Commodities, Mining, Health and Financial Services sectors.

Mr David Jordan

Advisory Board Member - South America & Carribean

Mr Jordan is a graduate of University of the West Indies and USA trained Trade Economist. He has Masters in International Affairs with a focus on Economic Policy and International Trade from the School of International and Public Affairs - Columbia University in the USA (1997) and an  undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Economics (1987) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. He has a Diploma in Spanish from the University of Havana. He speaks Spanish and Creole and has knowledge of French. As a former senior career Civil Servant he is quite knowledgeable in areas of Economic Policy and International Trade and has a practical knowledge of the region including the CARICOM and Organisation of the East Caribbean States (OECS) and their inherent administrative entities.
An ILO trainer in SME’s. He was the first Director of Commerce and Industry (1998); acted as Deputy Permanent Secretary, Trade and Industry and served as the First Executive Director of Gaming (2001- 2005). His most recent appointments Economic Policy Adviser in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Planning and Development, and his last posting was the Director of International Trade and Investment.

Sahid Sisay

Board Member - Sierra Leone

He is a Co-founder and a director of Eden Group. He has more than 20 years Silicon Valley high tech entrepreneur with management and operational experience and background in digitization of operations (IT-OT). Previously built and operated successful innovative technologies for industrial processing plants and marine projects in Australia and USA. Mr Sesay is a skilled engineer and entrepreneur, who has assisted governments and Fortune 500 companies around the world in understanding and delivering secure, high-reliability computing and electronic information systems. He has also Patented several technological solutions that were successfully delivered to markets.

Ibrahim Jubairu Bah

CEO - Sierra Leone

Mr Ibrahim Jubairu Bah is the CEO of African Pelican Sierra Leone. He was the acting CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Sierra Leone, whilst holding Executive Director of Global Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Sierra Leone Limited. He has vast experience in corporate and institutional banking, credit risk management and trade finance. He has led critical corporate banking business realignment and driven business growth through his dynamic leadership.

He has also worked in Standard Chartered Bank, Qatar delivering banking solutions for highly sophisticated clients with a balance sheet more than USD 20billion. Ibrahim holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana and a post graduate degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Public Administration & Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone.

Celani Ndlovu

CEO

Mr Celani Ndlovu is Vice President/Chief Executive African Pelican. He overseas entire Africa operations of the company. He had held various Management positions with Vodacom’s Network Procurement and Contracts Services. A Senior Sourcing Strategist of Quadrem Global Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing Consultant - IT at ABSA Bank South Africa.
In the automotive industry, Mr Ndlovu held Category Manager-I.T. at Jaguar-Land Rover-UK and Senior Procurement Specialist at Engen Petroleum Limited Buyer and finally a Senior National Buyer at Eskom Mr Ndlovu has attended Damelin Management School, University of South Africa and University of Birmingham-UK and University of Johannesburg. He studied Purchasing Management Diploma (1998) BCom-Management (2004) MBA-Strategy & Procurement Management (2007) PG Dip - Contract Law (Cum-Laude) (2012)

Jonathan Eduful

Portfolio Manager - Ghana

Jonathan has over 13 years of working experience in the Banking and Insurance sector. He worked with Standard Chartered Bank as a Sales Manager with the Unsecured and Wealth management value center under the Retail Business Banking where he supervised his team to develop new business and drive sales performance across these two key value centers. He later joined the Collateral Management team as the commodities Collateral Manager where he supervised the custodian of the bank’s commodity collateral across west Africa. He worked closely with relationship managers, product management team and warehouse operators to ensure that the scope of services were complied with. He later joined Enterprise Life Assurance Company under the Distribution team as a Sales Manager, where he supervised various teams to drive new businesses across the western sector of the distribution team. Jonathan holds a post graduate diploma in Actuarial Science from Leicester University UK, passed the CFA level 1 in 2012 and Bsc Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Ghana.

Eric Kumi

Head of Risk and Revenue Control

Eric has over 12 years of working experience in the Banking and Educational sector. He worked as a Finance Director of Hollywood Microfinance. He later joined Sam Jonah School of Business, African University College of Communication as a lecturer in Risk and Portfolio management. Eric has a strong background in Stochastic Finance, Asset Pricing and Portfolio Management. Eric holds a postgraduate studies in MPhil Financial Mathematics at University of Cape Town, South Africa and Bsc Mathematics (1st class with Honours) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.

Fabakary Jammeh

Legal and Compliance Manager

FABAKARY JAMMEH is a legal practice professional and holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Gambia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) in Rwanda.

He specializes in legal transactions, and commercial and corporate law, and has extensive experience in providing legal services in regulatory compliance, negotiation of transnational contracts, due diligence exercises, foreign investment, and business advisory for doing business in Africa.

With his knowledge and experience, he has successfully facilitated market entry for various multinational companies across Africa. He regularly advises clients on market entry in various African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Mauritania, Kenya, Mali, Sierra Leone, Madagascar, Malawi, DRC, Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia, and South Africa, respectively.

Fabakary advises clients on the provisions of the existing corporate laws and practices as they relate to company formation in various African countries and post-incorporation matters and necessary filings; the registration of deeds, patents, trademarks, and industrial designs.
